Despite being one of the smaller of the Caribbean islands, Anguilla still boasts a lively nightlife.
Often, visitors can spend their nights checking out the theatrical and musical reviews hosted by various resorts on the island, and most have bars on property as well. Still, if you'd like to get out and explore all of the after dark entertainment that the island has to offer, you will find there to be a variety of bars and even a few nightclubs to choose from. Check out Sandy Ground and Shoal Bay for the island's most popular haunts.
Housed in a boat, the Elvis Beach Bar is open Wednesday through Monday, and features live music every day it is open but Monday. The bar is known for its great rum punch and bar food.

Johnno's Beach Stop is a fun place to stop in for a drink. There is live music and dancing every night on the open air deck, and its location in Sandy Ground is prime for an eclectic bunch of patrons.
If you're looking for a place that is more restaurant than bar, hit up Palm Grove Bar and Grill. Seafood is on the menu here, and the johnnycakes are so good that the recipe has been published in Bon Appétit.
A few other bars in Anguilla include Ripples in South Hill; Rafes in Sandy Ground; and Elodias Beach, Hardbroke, Le Beach, Madeariman, and Uncle Ernie's in Shoal Bay.
...dance the night away...
In a building that is made of driftwood is Dune Preserve, a music club at which reggae star Bankie Banks, and American actor Kevin Bacon regularly play. There is a beach bar, a dance floor, and a $15(USD) cover charge.
Converted from a rock-salt factory to a music club, is Pumphouse in Sandy Ground. Housed in the building is a mini museum of sorts featuring equipment from its factory days, but mainly patrons visit for the live music, dance floor, and drinks.
If you're one who loves to dance the night away in a crowd thick with other dancers, head over to the Red Dragon. A DJ spins dance music over the loud speakers, and the place is particularly packed on weekends.
Some of your best memories of Anguilla will be when you really let loose and allow yourself to relax. Whether you're dancing the night away, or simply hanging out bar side, Anguilla's nightlife will encourage you to let go.
