During the high tourist season, travelers will find that Anguilla's business hours are mostly convenient on the weekdays, while most places close early on the weekends. For the low tourist season, however, it's a completely different story.
Because there are very few tourists visiting the island during the summer months, many local businesses close earlier, and some even shut down completely. Vacationers can avoid missing out on great shopping or taking care of business by knowing what time banks, government offices, and other facilities close.

Travelers can take care of monetary matters at any of the banks located around the island. For the most part, all banks follow the same business hours and are open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Generally, all banks are closed on the weekends and during the island's major holidays.
Anguilla isn't particularly known for its outstanding shopping outlets. Many of the island's shops are scattered among local villages and are not within easy walking distance of each other. But travelers who don't mind doing a little digging can locate some of the island's great souvenirs. Commercial businesses are generally open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to Noon.
Anguilla's business hours are all subject to change, especially between the high and low seasons. If you're unsure when a particular establishment is open, you can always call ahead.
